We are actively seeking one (1) experienced Bilingual Bridge Software Engineer specializing in C/C++ development on Linux platforms. A "Bridge Engineer" plays a vital cross-border role, acting as the technical and linguistic link between overseas engineering teams and local Japanese stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery. What You Will Do - Act as the primary technical bridge, translating complex technical requirements, system architectures, and feedback between international development teams and Japanese engineers/clients. - Develop, optimize, and maintain high-performance system-level applications using C/C++ within a Linux environment. - Perform hands-on debugging, troubleshooting, and code refactoring on embedded systems or hardware-adjacent software layers onsite. - Facilitate technical meetings, manage code review alignment, and create/translate technical documentation (specifications, manuals, and reports) in both English and Japanese. - Coordinate deployment timelines, mitigate cross-cultural communication gaps, and ensure software deliverables match the exact specifications required by the local facility. What We Are Looking For (Compliance & Requirements) - Technical Experience: 5 to 7 years of solid software engineering experience with a strong focus on system-level C/C++ development on Linux platforms. - Language Proficiency: Professional bilingual fluency in both Japanese (JLPT N2/N1 equivalent for business and technical negotiation) and English. - Platform Expertise: Strong command of Linux environment utilities, shell scripting, debugging tools (like GDB), and version control systems (Git). - Domain Knowledge: Prior experience in embedded systems, semiconductor manufacturing software, or hardware-software integration is highly desirable for this region. - Soft Skills: Exceptional cross-cultural communication skills, adaptability to Japanese business etiquette, and proactive project management capabilities.
